$7.25 is the national minimum wage, but various states have their own minimum wage that’s either slightly or significantly more in order to keep up with the cost-of-living.

But if you work in a service job that relies on tips (server, hostess, bartender, delivery driver, ect.) the minimum wage is….$2.50/hr? I’m pretty sure? And that was just raised a few years ago. For my first job as a hostess, I was paid $3.50, but then when I became a server it went to $2.15 before being upped a year later.

Your minimum wage is more than the management gets paid at my job. I think I need to move to Canada?
